Take our Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising and we will waive the $395 initiaion fee if you join the sailing club before graduating BCC.

Club Events Calendar!

Beercan Racing

Wednesday night is Club racing. Race against other members and then enjoy food and beverage at the yacht club. Club members and their guests only.

Seminars

Our seminar series highlights specific subject matters and are provided free of charge to club members. These seminars are a great way to learn about a variety of boating related topics and meet and hang out with fellow club members. Seminars are held Friday nights. Calendar and newsletter for times.

Barbecues

Every month in the Summer we host a BBQ on the deck of our Conference Center overlooking the marina. There's plenty of food and drink, music. Club members are free. Guests are charged a nominal fee.

Evening Sails

Evening sails run Friday and Saturday evenings. Scheduled times vary depending on the season. Club members sail for free and non members pay $30 per person. Anyone can come. Reservations are required.

Afternoon Sails

On the first and third Saturday and second and fourth Sunday of the month an instructor takes four people sailing from 12:30pm - 4:30pm. The cost is $65 per person. Anyone can come. Free to Club members. Reservations are required.

By joining Spinnaker Sailing Club you'll have access to a fleet of boats that are ready to sail when you are. You'll also enjoy a host of membership benefits that include social events, free skipperred cruises, free seminars, racing, and much more.

As a member of Spinnaker Sailing Club You won't have to worry about the high cost of ownership or the burden of maintenance. In fact the monthly membership fee in Spinnaker Sailing Club is a fraction of the cost of owning your own boat.

At Spinnaker Sailing Club, we make sailing safe, affordable and hassle free so you can truly enjoy sailing in one of the greatest places to sail, the San Francisco Bay!

Convenient

Spinnaker Sailing Club is conveniently located at the Redwood City Marina providing a convenient location to sailors in the south bay, peninsula, and east bay locations.

Sail Mates

Enjoy our social sites which will provide access to other sailors to share a day on the Bay with. Our SailMates google group and our Facebook Spinnaker Alumni group make it easy to find other great people to go sailing with.

Activities

Climate

Weather best by government test! That was the conclusion of the senses done back in the 50's. Warmer weather and consistent winds make Redwood City a great place to sail.

MATES- The mates membership is an affordable way for sailors to enjoy free sailing activites year round and received discounts on chartering boats, sailing lessons and more.

$395.00 Initiation plus $49.00 month for 12 months (may elect to pay $539.00 for the whole year... saves $49.00)

SKIPPER - The skipper membership is for those wanting unlimited free day use of all club sailboats to 25 feet, free sailing activities, discounts on sailing lessons, discounts on large boat charters and more.

Initiation $395.00 plus $175.00 per month for 12 months (may elect to pay $1925.00 for the whole year... saves $175.00)

CAPTAIN- The Captain membership is for those wanting unlimited free day use of all club sailboats to 29 feet, free sailing activities, discounts on sailing lessons, discounts on large boat charters and more.

Initiation $395.00 plus $210.00 per month for 12 months (may elect to pay $2310.00 for the whole year... saves $210.00)
